Across the world, Leidos employees are navigating the impacts of COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus and supporting our federal customers in their response to the pandemic. As this public health emergency continues to develop, Leidos’ primary focus is on the health and safety of our employees, their families and the communities where they work and live. Equally important is our commitment to our customers’ missions and executing the important work we do in our defense, intelligence, health and civil markets.
Leidos has convened a multi-functional working group to monitor and respond to the outbreak. The working group is closely following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as national and local authorities in the regions where we perform work for our customers.
We are advising our employees to stay informed and are sharing the latest information regarding what they can do to protect themselves, their families and their communities from the transmission and impacts of the virus. We have restricted business travel to mission-essential only and have advised employees to monitor and follow WHO, CDC, national and local authority recommendations for limiting personal travel.
As a large company with a geographically dispersed workforce, Leidos has the infrastructure and broad capabilities to support telework, where feasible, for employees who may be affected by the virus. Where telework may not be feasible, we are assessing impacts and developing contingency plans for affected employees and programs. As a provider of large, complex solutions to our customers, Leidos is also working with our suppliers and subcontractors to assess any potential impacts they may have on our customers’ programs and missions.
As this situation continues to evolve, Leidos will be there every step of the way. Our focus will always remain on supporting our customers and strengthening their mission for the global population.
