Remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice

On this Remembrance Day, I join you in pausing to reflect on and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Let us never forget those who perished in the global fight for freedom and to protect our way of life.

I also want to express appreciation to those who have worn the uniform for allied nations around the world and the families who support them. More than 20% of our workforce are military veterans, and I am proud of the leadership and expertise our veteran colleagues bring to our company. Since the beginning of the year, we have hired more than 1,500 veterans as part of Operation MVP, our company-wide outreach program to hire, train, and support veterans in the workforce. To all who honorably served, I am proud to work alongside you, and I thank you.

Our annual Heroes of Leidos campaign gives a public voice to employees who wore the uniform. I hope you will take some time to learn about some of our veteran colleagues and reflect on their unique experiences.

As we take time to remember our fallen heroes and the sacrifices our veterans and their families have made to safeguard our freedom, may we also take time to rededicate ourselves to the important work we do as a company to make our world safer, healthier, and more efficient.
