Honoring our veterans

Today, we pause to express our deep gratitude to all Veterans for their brave and selfless service to our country. The freedoms we enjoy are built upon the backs of those willing to risk their lives for our nation, and we appreciate the sacrifices our military service members and their families have made — and continue to make — on this day and every day. 

Since the beginning of the year, through Operation MVP — our company-wide initiative to hire, train, and support Veterans in the workforce — we have hired more than 1,500 former service members into our growing company. Today, more than 20% of our workforce are Veterans. The leadership and expertise these colleagues bring to our company and our customers is critical to our mission to make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient. Like you, I am proud to work alongside them.

Our annual Veterans Day campaign, Heroes of Leidos, gives a public voice to men and women in our company who wore the uniform. I hope you take some time to learn about some of their stories and reflect on their unique experiences.

On this Veterans Day, please join me in sharing appreciation for the Veterans who work with us and remembering all who serve. Our colleagues abroad are reflecting on those who made the ultimate sacrifice with Remembrance Day observances, and I ask that you also keep them in mind.
