What's New or Changing for 2017

2017 Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for 2017 will begin on November 3, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. ET through November 16, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. ET. For detailed information regarding the 2017 benefit offerings, please view the Open Enrollment Guide.

Key Changes to the Healthy Focus Medical Plans

For the 2017 plan year, Leidos will be making the following changes to the medical plan structure:

  • Transgender benefits will be covered as of January 1, 2017. No dollar limits will be placed on these benefits and Anthem/Aetna standard clinical policies for transgender benefit definitions will be used.
  • The Teladoc consultation fee will be covered at 100% once the annual in-network deductible has been satisfied.
  • The embedded individual out-of-pocket maximum for the Healthy Focus Essential plan will increase from $6,850 to $7,150 to align with federal HHS changes.

Increase to Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Maximum

For 2017, the IRS has increased the maximum allowable contribution for the Healthcare FSA from $2,550 to $2,600. Leidos will be adopting this change, allowing employees to contribute up to the IRS allowable limits.

NEW Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account Vendor, Health Equity

In 2017, Leidos is partnering with a new Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) administrator, Health Equity. For information regarding Health Equity and HSA or FSA accounts, visit the Leidos dedicated pre-enrollment website www.healthequity.com/leidos or call 1-844-373-6981.

As part of the change in administrators, employees will have the opportunity to elect to transfer their current HSA balances from Wageworks to Health Equity through an eConsent process in Workday. This opportunity is completely voluntary.

If you choose to transfer your HSA to Health Equity, you will complete the eConsent process in Workday after Open Enrollment closes. This separate process is currently planned for the mid-December timeframe and Corporate Benefits will communicate more information about the timing and the eConsent process as this information becomes available. Please note, Leidos will cover the $16 transfer fee imposed by our current HSA custodian bank (BNY Mellon).

You may choose to keep you HSA funds with Wageworks or request a transfer to another custodian. Please note that if you choose to keep you HSA with Wageworks, you will become responsible for the monthly fees associated with your account administered by Wageworks and the custodial bank BNY Mellon.
