Expanded Team. More Capabilities.
It is my great pleasure today to confirm that the merger of Lockheed Martin IS&GS (Information Systems and Global Solutions) with Leidos has been completed. The merger between Leidos and Lockheed Martin’s ISGS world-class expertise, reputation and global reach with a diverse and balanced portfolio of IT and OT products and services. This $10.8bn company now offers expanded cyber capabilities across our solution portfolio as well as increased access to top talent.
Our team has grown to 33,000 employees in thirty countries. A year ago we were two very strong companies; today, together, we are a force to be reckoned with. Together we’re close to being a Fortune 250 company, we’re somewhere around 265, and just outside of the Top 10 IT Services providers from a revenue perspective.
Here are some other interesting facts about Leidos:
- We have 1,100 PhDs
- Fifty percent of employees have a STEM degree
- Nearly forty percent of our employees hold a security clearance (over seventy percent are top secret or above)
- In the UK/Australia, we expanded our local footprint and confirmed our commitment to growing the local business significantly through expanded capabilities, continued hiring and investment in long-term partnerships in-country
In my new role as the VP tasked with growing our commercial cyber business it is a great honor to bring not only what Lockheed Martin has created over its 13 year journey but also Leidos with its complementary cyber products and services. Indeed, it is a great testament to the growth of Lockheed Martin’s Commercial Cyber business that Angie Heise formerly Lockheed Martin’s Cyber leader has been promoted to President of the new Leidos Civil business, one of four business units reporting to our CEO Roger Crone. This will be good news for our customers. We have an expanded team, more capabilities and a brand that we can build on.
The combined company will be a more diversified leader in the markets we serve, giving us the scale and access to markets that enable further growth.”
– Roger Krone, Chairman and CEO | Leidos
Moreover, we have the products, services and the experience to help transform the Global 1000 into intelligence-driven defense organizations. We are bringing our methodologies, people and intelligence with us on this new journey. Furthermore, we have added complementary cyber products and services from Leidos including an MSSP business and CIRT, substantial professional services, and market leading crypto and accreditation testing services that will complement our existing portfolio.
We have ensured a seamless integration with no business disruption. Although Lockheed Martin’s Cyber business has changed its name to Leidos, our partnership and commitment will remain the same. Indeed we anticipate more resources and talented people for you to work with through the addition of Leidos. The team you work with will remain the same and projects will not be impacted by this change. Our commitment to exceptional performance remains unmatched.
