#Innovidual Tanya Hanway
We’re a company full of innovative individuals, or as we call them, #innoviduals. This recurring series highlights some of our best and brightest employees, providing insights about the scope and depth of talent throughout Leidos.
This month’s #innovidual is Tanya Hanway, Research, Engineering, Mission Integration Services (REMIS) Program Manager at Leidos. REMIS provides end-to-end mission integration and operations in support of research objectives for principle investigators at NASA.

Tell us a little about your job role and responsibilities, and/or something you’re currently working on.
“In addition to the nominal REMIS program manager duties, I am currently working on developing Leidos’ Low Earth Orbit (LEO) service offerings for commercial vehicles and platforms. As NASA looks to move out of LEO and into Deep Space, they need companies to commercialize LEO into a new and thriving economy that is accessible to all humans.”
Why is innovation important in your role?
“Commercialization of LEO requires constant innovation because it’s never been done before and things are happening fast.”
What’s your definition of innovation?
“To me, innovation means doing something deemed impossible and then watching as it becomes a reality.”
