Leidos achieves upper 50 position in Newsweek Top 500 Green rankings list

Company Named "Best in Industry" for IT Services Category

RESTON, Va., Dec. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE 500® science, information technology, and engineering leader, was ranked #38 in the Newsweek Green Rankings 2017 U.S. 500. The company was also named the #1 greenest company in the Information & Technology category. The annual list recognizes the environmental efforts of the nation's largest publicly traded companies.

Newsweek partnered with an independent research organization to assess the sustainability performance of the 500 largest publicly-traded companies headquartered in the U.S. by revenue as of December 31, 2016. Performance was measured using key environmental indicators including energy and water use, Greenhouse gas emissions, waste management, and the company's senior executive team involvement. Leidos' overall green score was 59.3 percent.
