Leidos and British Forces Foundation celebrate first year of collaboration
It’s been just a year since Leidos first teamed up with The British Forces Foundation (BFF), but already the relationship has produced lasting memories, while making a genuine difference for the troops.
Working with the BFF has enabled us to take part in a series of events across several continents designed to boost and maintain the morale of British soldiers and their families, and the success of the programme has laid the foundation for years of collaboration.
Since last summer, Leidos has supported the BFF in its travels to Romania, Somalia, Bahrain, Gibraltar, Dubai, Greece, Poland, Cyprus, the UAE, Afghanistan and Norway, to name a few.
Our support has been recognised at dozens of events and in the 10,000-plus programmes distributed at events in 70 military establishments across seven countries. The Leidos and BFF banners have appeared side-by-side at numerous fundraising parties and as testament to this blossoming relationship, a 25-strong team of Leidos employees will represent BFF in the Prudential Ride London 100 in August this year.
We are very excited about working with the BFF over the coming years so that we can continue to show our support for the British Armed Forces. Through the entertainment events and other projects, this partnership is able to reach these remarkable men and women of all ranks on the front lines.
"Over the last year, our work with the BFF has not only been a hugely enjoyable and rewarding experience, but also an eye opener. The thousands of men and women who make up our Armed Forces do an amazing job and it’s an honour to be able to take part in these events with them," says Matt Wiles, Chief Executive of Leidos UK.
"We’re looking forward to what’s to come and to celebrating the BFF’s 21st birthday next year in style."
