Pro Bono Program extending support to military veterans and their families
During National Pro Bono Week, running October 21-27, the Leidos Pro Bono Program extended our support to the military veteran community by co-hosting a pro bono clinic with Cooley, LLP held in Reston, Va., on Oct. 24.
This clinic was designed to provide legal advice to military veterans and veteran spouse entrepreneurs starting their own businesses through the Capitol Post Startup School and Bunker Labs initiatives.
Today, 25 percent of Leidos employees are military veterans and we collectively take tremendous pride in the long-standing and steadfast commitment of our business in supporting our active-duty, reserve, and veteran service members, as well as the broader defense and intelligence communities, and their families. We do this not only through the work that we do, but also through our extensive philanthropic outreach.
The Leidos Legal Department was also in attendance at the 2018 Corporate Counsel Awards, hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) National Capital Region at a reception on Oct. 25 in Tyson’s Corner, where the team and the Leidos Pro Bono Program was recognized with the Community Service Award. This award serves to highlight the far-reaching impact of the work the entire legal team at Leidos has committed to throughout 2018.
