Memorial Day 2018

This Memorial Day

Reflecting on a Cornerstone of our Nation

This Memorial Day, as we mourn tragic violence in Texas, marvel at powerful volcanic eruptions in Hawaii, and endure worldwide tests of our country's resolve, we also pause to remember and reflect on a cornerstone of our nation — the willingness of our brave men and women in uniform to make the ultimate sacrifice to uphold our ideals.

As a way to show our gratitude, Leidos will once again sponsor Monday's National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C., where many Leidos colleagues will serve lunch to more than 1,000 active duty service members. If you are in the National Capital Region, I encourage you to visit the National Mall and show your appreciation.

As many of you know, in 2000, Congress passed the National Moment of Remembrance Act, asking that every American pause at 3 p.m. local time for a moment of silence. I ask that you join me in this act of unity as a way to honor those who have fallen in service to our country.

So much of the work we do at Leidos supports our troops as they protect our country. For this I thank all of our colleagues and extend my best wishes for a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.
