Honoring the fallen and their families, today and every day.
CEO Message
Memorial Day 2020
As we applaud the nurses, doctors, food supply workers, and others on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19, on Monday, May 25, Memorial Day, we will pause to remember the ultimate sacrifice our uniformed men and women made to secure and preserve our freedom. We owe them and their families a deep debt of gratitude.
This Memorial Day, Leidos proudly continues our partnership with the American Veterans Center. Normally we sponsor the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. and Team Leidos serves lunch to active military personnel. As you can imagine, this year’s parade was cancelled, and in its place, we are proud to sponsor America Stands Tall – a nationally televised event reaching 100 million households across the U.S. and military personnel in 175 countries around the globe, including Navy ships at sea.
While your Memorial Day celebrations may be smaller or more socially distant this year, I hope you will join me in the National Moment of Remembrance, pausing at 3 p.m. local time for one minute of silence to honor those who have fallen in service to our country.
Many at Leidos work closely with the men and women of our military, or support missions that serve and protect our national security. For this, I thank you and extend my best wishes for a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend to you all.
