Sea Archer is a mission-configurable small unmanned surface vessel (SUSV) built for contested surface environments. Powered by LAVA autonomy architecture and modular payloads, Sea Archer delivers persistent ISR integrated into distributed maritime operations — extending fleet reach without extending risk to sailors.
Maritime
Platforms, payloads, networks, and intel so naval forces can act and win
Delivering integrated maritime operations at speed and scale
In modern naval warfare, superiority is not defined by individual platforms. It is defined by how well platforms, sensors, autonomy, networks, and crews operate as one system—especially in contested environments.
At Leidos, we integrate surface and subsurface fleets, advanced sensing, autonomous systems, fires, resilient networks, and assured command and control into a mission command framework. Grounded in more than a century of naval architecture and decades of mission systems integration, we design to open standards and resiliency from the start so maritime forces maintain freedom of maneuver, control the maritime environment, and dominate the information battlespace.

Autonomy
Engineered to Operate and Win
Leidos designs and fields robotics and autonomous systems to deliver sea control and operate and win in contested environments. Powered by the Leidos Autonomous Vessel Architecture (LAVA) platform, we deliver modular mission packages for C5ISR and counter-C5ISR that create tailored offsets across the fleet.
Sea Specter™
Sea Specter is a small unmanned surface vessel (SUSV) that operates where conventional platforms lose effectiveness. Its low acoustic and visual signature makes it a critical asset for ISR, force protection, and presence operations in denied environments — delivering persistent capability with precision and control.
Sea Dagger™
Sea Dagger delivers speed, maneuverability, and mission flexibility in a compact, high performance medium unmanned surface vessel (MUSV) platform for time-sensitive surface operations. Integrated into distributed maritime architectures, it extends the fleet’s reach in fast-evolving threat environments.
Sea Hunter
Sea Hunter has demonstrated months-long, open-ocean autonomous operations across thousands of nautical miles. Powered by LAVA autonomy architecture and integrated into fleet C2 systems, this medium unmanned surface vessel (MUSV) delivers operational-scale unmanned capability across anti-submarine warfare, mine countermeasures, and distributed maritime operations.
Vessel Design
Designing higher caliber vessels
Since 1929, 24 classes of combatants, 7,000+ vessels, and two of the world's fastest yachts have been built to Leidos Gibbs & Cox designs. The team continues to provide maritime innovations to military and commercial clients worldwide.
Ship Design
Drawing on nearly a century of ship design experience, we apply deep design experience to every maritime program we touch. We bring together the technical disciplines needed to reduce risk, improve performance, and deliver programs that hold up over time.
Naval Architecture
Providing naval architecture services that take surface ships from early concept and feasibility through detailed design, construction support, sustainment, service-life extensions, and disposal. The team uses in-house tools and advanced software to create practical, data-informed ship designs that improve performance, survivability, and producability.
Marine Engineering
Providing marine engineering across the full lifecycle of a ship, from concept and feasibility through detailed design, construction support, integration of new technologies, sustainment, and service-life extensions. The team also helps develop and test ship systems, using systems engineering and advanced modeling to make complex marine systems easier to integrate and operate.
Survivability
Designing ships to withstand harsh conditions, testing how they respond to shock, vibration, electronic interference, and other threats. Using modeling, analysis, and live testing, the team identifies weak points and strengthens a ship’s ability to take damage and keep operating.
Program Management
Managing complex maritime programs by bringing together certified project managers, clear communication, planning, requirements management, cost analysis, and risk management. The team also serves as an owner’s representative to help make sure ship design and construction stay aligned with the customer’s goals.
R&D
Conducting R&D to test new ship ideas, integrate advanced systems, and improve how future vessels are designed and built. The team uses modeling, testing, and software analysis to reduce risk, speed up development, and bring new technologies into the shipboard environment.
Proven Across Every Kind of Vessel
With a rich history across military, commercial, and recreational vessels, we bring the best-fit solutions to every program.

Sensing
Turning oceans into decision advantage
From advanced acoustic sensing and undersea autonomy to multi-mission vessels and long-range fires, Leidos delivers integrated systems that protect sea lines, deter escalation, and support decisive maritime action.
Sea Dart™
Sea Dart is a compact, high-performance unmanned undersea vehicle built for flexible mission support across defense and research environments. Its payload-agnostic design and compatibility with U.S. Navy architectures enable scalable, low-cost deployment in both contested and scientific missions.
Sea Castle™
Sea Castle is a distributed undersea mission hub enabling UUV recharge, mission data exchange, and sustained operations in forward environments. By extending autonomous endurance without centralized exposure, Sea Castle transforms episodic presence into persistent coverage.
ADC MK 5
The Acoustic Device Countermeasure MK 5 (ADC MK 5) is the U.S. Navy’s next-generation torpedo countermeasure, replacing legacy systems with a high-performance, intelligent micro-UUV. Designed to counter current and emerging heavyweight torpedo threats, it strengthens submarine defense in contested environments.
LAVS
LAVS is a compact, distributed acoustic sensing solution that enhances undersea awareness across operational and research missions. Unlike traditional hydrophones, it adds three-dimensional directional sensing—improving detection accuracy, reducing ambiguity, and accelerating classification. Each variant is optimized for low self-noise and reliable performance in harsh environments.
U.S. Navy deployment puts Leidos autonomy on display
Four unmanned vessels with Leidos autonomy technology cross the Pacific Ocean for the first time and visit several western Pacific ports.
