Web Conferencing

Leidos uses Lync and WebEx for web conferencing, facilitating collaboration among Leidos clients and employees.

Leidos provides web conferencing as a service to Leidos clients and employees through either Lync or WebEx. Web conferencing facilitates collaboration by allowing participants to share documents and applications over the Internet. Similarly to participating in a telephone conference call, where many people from different locations hold a meeting using the telephone, web conferencing allows you to set up a meeting via your computer, where participants have a wide range of tools with which to communicate.

About Lync

Lync is compatible with all major operating systems and Internet browsers and can hold up to 250 participants. Access through the web browser requires the use of a Lync plug-in. Lync Meetings are the preferred method for web conferencing at Leidos.

Present a Lync Conference

Leidos employees can find information about presenting Lync Meetings and conferences on the Prism Lync site. Leidos employees may host a Lync Meeting from the Lync Desktop client, Lync Web App (requires plug-in), Lync Mobile Apps, or Lync Dial-In Conferencing.

Attend a Lync Conference

To attend a Lync Meeting, you can join using the Lync Desktop Client, a compatible browser using Lync Web App or the Lync Mobile App from your smartphone. Simply click on the link provided in your meeting invitation or use the Lync Conference ID information within the meeting invitation to join the meeting by phone.


About WebEx

WebEx is compatible with all major operating systems and Internet browsers and can hold up to 200 participants. The WebEx plug-in must be allowed to run to view and/or share content.

Present a WebEx Conference

Leidos employees can find information about presenting WebEx conferences on the Prism web conferencing web site. A WebEx account is required to host a meeting. WebEx meeting organizers may specify how the audio portion of the web conference will be handled through the setup of the meeting.

Attend a WebEx Conference

To attend a meeting in WebEx, you can click on the link provided in your meeting invitation or access the WebEx site and then click on Attend a Meeting on the left-hand navigation. Enter your meeting number and click "Join Now." Attendees can refer to the meeting information provided by the meeting organizer to determine how to gain access to the audio portion of the conference.
