Meet a Leidos Summer Intern: Peyton
Just because the summer is ending does not mean internships are too. At Leidos, you can apply for a summer internship or for a co-op during the academic year. Peyton, a current summer intern, will be continuing her internship this fall to gain more work experience before graduating.
“We can’t imagine a better intern for our organization and are so happy she’s agreed to stay on part-time during the school year,” said Gene Perry, director of program management training solutions.

Where do you go to school, what are you majoring in, and when do you graduate?
I am currently going into my senior year at Auburn University (War Eagle!) and I am majoring in marketing. I will be graduating in May 2025.
You're a Leidos summer intern. Are you doing this in person, hybrid, or virtually?
I am mostly remote, but work from Global Headquarters in Reston, Va., occasionally.
Tell us about your internship experience so far.
I have had a great experience at Leidos. I have felt more than welcome and could not have asked for a better team to join. There have been so many great intern events where I have been able to meet great people. The leaders in this company have been more than willing to meet with me to talk about their positions which has been so great getting to learn all that Leidos truly does. I am excited to continue with the company and grow my career!
What made you decide to apply for a Leidos internship?
I chose Leidos because I knew of the great reputation they had, and I had a really positive interview process.
How will a Leidos internship help you meet your academic and career goals?
This internship has already exposed me to many different aspects of business areas so I know it will help me with my future endeavors.
Besides the internship, what else are you up to this summer?
Other than the internship I will be traveling a bit (I just got back from the Grand Canyon) and spending time with friends!
